CORPORATE COUPON POLICIES

As of today, there is a new Meijer Corporate Coupon Policy. Updates include policy regarding stacking manufacturer and store coupons.
They will no longer be allowing you to stack a manufacturer coupon with an mPerks digital coupon. However, stacking Meijer Mealbox coupons (which are considered store coupons) is still permitted.
Coupon Acceptance
Meijer accepts manufacturer, Catalina manufacturer, Meijer, Catalina Meijer, mPerks, internet, and competitor coupons within certain guidelines.
- Coupons must be presented on or before the expiration date
- All coupon terms and conditions must be met and validated by the checkout register
- Customers may use up to one manufacturer/Catalina manufacturer coupon with one Meijer/Catalina Meijer coupon per item
- Two coupons of the same type may not be used toward the purchase of a single item
- mPerks offers cannot be combined with paper coupons (manufacturer or Meijer) toward the purchase of a single item
- Transactions cannot be broken up to avoid coupon stacking restrictions
- Separate checklanes will not be opened or designated for customers with large coupon orders
- Manufacturer coupons and Catalina manufacturer coupons require the Customer to pay sales tax on the full retail amount
- Meijer, Catalina Meijer, and competitor coupons require the Customer to pay sales tax only on the discounted price
- Meijer will accept coupons from major competitors in each store’s trading area, for Grocery and or for Health and Beauty Care items
- Meijer will accept coupons from major competitors in each store’s trading area for General Merchandise items only if the competitor’s price point is included. The item must be the identical item on the coupon for the match to occur.

HOLD THE PRESSES!! Rite Aid has once again revised the policy – and it’s “bank error in our favor”! They are now accepting a coupon on the 50% off item – woohoo!
“Customers can use up to two coupons with a Buy One, Get One at a % off promotion, provided the total value of the coupons does not exceed the selling price of the two items combined.”
You can view the current Rite Aid Corporate Coupon Policy HERE.
Here is what you’ll want to take note of:
Use of coupons on BOGO 50% off sales
Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One, Get One at a % off promotion or with a Buy One, Get One Free coupon), although the value
of the cents off coupon cannot +exceed the selling price of the item.
So basically, you can now only use ONE coupon on a BOGO 50% off sale.
eCoupons
Rite Aid and it business partners make electronic coupons available that can be loaded directly on a wellness+ card. The register automatically “rings” the coupon when the qualifying item is scanned.
Internet Printable Coupons
The following $5 Maximum clause is no longer there, so they now accept any value!
Rite Aid will accept internet / print at home coupons up to the equivalent value of $5.00 off

Have you heard that CVS’s Coupon Policy has been updated? The main thing I see is that their BOGO Free policy has been established (that’s a good thing). Here are the details:
- Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offer, if required by applicable state laws.
- Two coupons may be used on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion as long as it does not exceed the item total
- Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 Buy One, Get One Free and the customer is purchasing two shampoos; customer may use two coupons for $1.00 each and pay the applicable tax.
- Buy One, Get One Free promotions may be combined with Buy One, Get One Free Coupons. Customers are responsible for paying applicable tax
- Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a MFG coupon for Suave BOGO. Customer will receive both items for free but will need to pay any applicable tax.

Target has released a new updated Target Corporate Coupon Policy. Be sure to print a copy and keep it with your coupons. Most of the changes have to do with BOGO Free coupons and sales. Here are the updated policies regarding those:
1. BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.
2. A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.
This means they are now prohibiting in writing the use of a $ Off manufacturer’s coupon on the non free item when using a manufacturer’s B1G1 coupon.
3. If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon maybe used on the first item.
You can no longer use 2 manufacturer’s coupons against a Target B1G1 Store Coupon. So in other words if you have a B1G1 Free Pantene Target Coupon, you may only use one $1/1 Pantene Manufacturer Coupon, you can no longer use 2 manufacturer’s coupons against both items.
4. If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.
You can no longer use 2 Target Coupons against a Manufacturer’s B1G1 Coupon. So in other words if you have a B1G1 Old Spice Body Wash Manufacturer’s Coupon, you can no longer use two $1/1 Old Spice Body Wash Target Store Coupons along with it. you may only use 1 store coupon.
(thanks so much for breaking this down for us Totally Target!)

My Rite Aid Rep just emailed me the newly updated Rite Aid Coupon Policy.
Here is the direct link to the policy. I suggest printing it and keeping it with you when Rite Aid shopping.
The major changes I see are in regards to BOGO Free coupons and promotions:
- Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased.
- A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.
- Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.
Also, they are now limiting your “like” coupons to 4.
I’d love to hear your thoughts…

Oh, Happy Day! Walgreens has just released a Corporate Coupon Policy! This should eliminate many of the problems we couponers have been running into at Walgreens.
While not all coupon questions are answered here, there are a few things that have been addressed such as using 2 coupons on a BOGO Free item, adjusting the coupon value down to meet the item price and more.

Here is a copy of the email I received from Kroger Consumer Affairs regarding the Kroger Corporate Coupon Policy, dated May 14, 2010:
Thank you for contacting Kroger. The coupon policy for your Division is as follows:
** The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY coupon upon view. **
** The store manager has the right to limit the Quantity of coupons or items used/purchased in a single transaction,
by a single customer, or in a single day. **
PAH: (Print At Home)
Internet Coupon Policy ALL Banner Stores!!
We only accept printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout.
We do not accept “FREE product” printable coupons, with no purchase requirement. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be MUCH less common than traditional value-off coupons.
We do not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice. Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5 or more, but a $2 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates. Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way.
PAH coupons can be checked for validity at http://www.printcoupons.com.
